 THE PURPOSE OF A PORTRAIT
Portraits are clear reflections of the ones we love for the enjoyment of the present and visual pieces of genealogy for future posterity. They can be tangible memories of fleeting childhood or of the timeless beauty of the aged. Portraits do something that is hard to be duplicated. The artist places every stroke while remembering the personality of that person, thus, providing substance and breath into the portrait. Boni Arendt is a spectacular portrait artist, specializing in pencil and oil paintings of children and animals. "When you look at a loved one, you see their spirit. As I am painting or drawing a portrait I remember their smile, the innocence and joy they exude. As the artist, I am keenly aware of my role in capturing the personality."
Below, you will find samples of Boni's portraits. She has over 20 years of art experience. More samples are available upon request.
